My newest series is a focus on style rather than subject. It is a culmination of almost twenty years of different methods that circles back and reintroduces a technique that I hadn’t used in almost fifteen years, the ink dip pen.

Drawing and sketches have been a cornerstone of my work from the beginning. All my paintings have a fully realized charcoal drawing covered with acrylic paint. Starting in 2012 I began experimenting with leaving some or all of the drawing visible through the paint.

These works combine ink and high flow acrylics in varying degrees, a similar feel with a different media.
